Set Up Carrier and Location Masking

AfterShip Tracking supports Carrier and Location Masking on your branded tracking pages to hide sensitive carrier and location-based information from shipment updates. This customization allows for enhanced privacy and security while keeping customers informed about their order status.
Only the organization Admin, Owner and Manager have the permission to set up location and carrier masking.
The feature allows you to hide carrier details on tracking pages. You can set up carrier masking to prevent customers from initiating chargebacks that could occur if they see an undesired carrier handling their orders. When enabled, carrier masking helps maintain a smoother customer experience, avoiding potential issues that might arise from customers' negative perceptions of the carrier.
Go to Settings in your AfterShip Tracking admin.
Select Tracking pages.
Click Edit to start adding carriers in the masked carrier list.
Select Add Carriers, then select the carriers you want to hide from your tracking page and click Add.
To remove any carrier from the list, click the bin icon.
The feature allows you to protect your suppliers and manufacturers from competitor targeting by concealing the origin country of products on your tracking page with a custom message when the shipment is in a designated country or region. This can help prevent potential negative impacts on your brand image because of certain stereotypes or perceptions associated with certain countries that could affect how customers view your brand by hiding all location-based information from your shipment updates.
Go to Settings in your AfterShip Tracking admin.
Select Tracking pages.
In the Location masking section, set the status to Enabled.
Click the {...} icon and select Edit.
Edit the Replacement message that will show in place of the detailed location updates (like the exact location or origin of the shipment). Click Edit, type in the message in the designed box, and save.
In the Countries/regions section, add countries/regions that will be replaced with your replacement message when any shipment updates are in that designated country or region. Click Add country/region and select a country or region.
You can only select one country or region at a time. To add multiple countries/regions, add them one by one.
To remove any country or region from the list, click the bin icon.
