How to Upload and Manage Images in Email Notifications

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to upload and manage images in email notifications via the image library. Adding images to emails helps improve branding, provide product visuals, and enhance customer engagement.
Log in to your AfterShip Tracking account.
Go to Settings > Feature settings > Email and SMS.

Click Image library to upload and manage images.

The image library page will display:
Image name
Image size
Upload date
Actions: Edit image name, download, or delete an image

From your device
a. Click Upload images and select an image from your device.

b. The image will be added to the image library.

From URL
a. Click Add from URL, and a pop-up will appear on the screen.

b. Enter the Image URL in the text field provided.
c. Click Add image to upload the image.

Sort images: Click Sort to sort the images in the image library and choose:
a. Newest first: Images that are the latest uploaded will appear at the top.
b. Oldest first: Images that were uploaded first will appear at the top.
Search images: Use the search bar to find images by image name.

Go to Notifications > Email templates.

Click Edit on the email template to which you want to upload the image(s).
Under Content, click Image.

Click Select image to upload the image(s).

Select the image(s) from the image library to upload.

Use the search bar to search image by image name, if needed.
Adjust width, padding, colors, and other configurations, if needed.
Click Save to apply the changes.

Under Upload, click Select image or drop an image to upload from your device.

To add an image via URL, enter the Image URL under Add from URL.
Click Save to successfully upload the image.
The image will now also appear in the image library automatically.
If the image(s) do not appear in the email template, refresh the page and try again.
The recommended image dimensions for email notifications are 600(w) X 300(h) pixels for optimal display.
AfterShip supports image uploads in the JPG, JPEG, GIF, and PNG formats.
The maximum file size allowed for image uploads is 4 MB per image.
